Husband's Email: The sonogram from His point of view

Husband read me this email that he sent to a friend last week.  I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share our sonogram story from his point of view.  

"The other good new is, that bun in Paige's oven that been brewing and on slow cook for 5 months, well its product is going to be a GIRL!!  WHAT!!!???  I nearly hit the floor!!!  It was Paige on the table, her mom, grandmother, Evan and I in the room when they did the sonogram.  Everything looks great they say.  It was the final few minutes that we were hanging on until they froze the picture!!!  My eyes did not see what I wanted to see!!!  I was looking and looking for a little appendage to point from the body!! Nothing I saw, NOTHING!!!!  I knew in the absence of the appendage what was going on!!!  The product of conception is a GIRL!!!  What did I do wrong was what I thought!!!  The room filled with tears from Paige, her mom and grandmother.  Evan was real excited to hear that he is having a baby sister.  He wanted to be the only boy in the house and is not ready to share his toys.  I stood there thinking "really....really...what...a girl....really..???????"  AAAAGHHHH, my plans of 2 boys THEN a girl has been foiled!!!  Plus, Paige is more then enough girl in our household now.  I could see it then, Paige and our daughter fighting like sisters, they way her and her mom act now!!  NO!!!  I did not want that in my home!!!  But then Paige's mom chimed in and said just like she said when we found out that we were having a boy first...God gives us what we need.  My heart fell open.  I knew she was right.  I have come to love Evan so much and to teach him how to have fun as a little boy, maybe it's time for ME to have a stretch and a go with loving a little girl.  I was ok now, things are going to be fine and everyone is excited."

Glad he is feeling better about being a girl dad!
