Well, it has certainly been a while since I've updated my blog. In fact, I am already back at work and my maternity leave is officially over. Sad face. Here's a quick update:
Our sweet Baby Girl joined us on Jan 16. She did not come out on her own...she needed an eviction notice in the form of pitocine. But once she received that, she delivered with no complications. We were so blessed! We had a full 3-ring circus in the delivery room. Literally. I believe every member of my family plus our sweet babysitter who wants to be a midwife got to be a part of it as well! We are all about medical education in our family! Modesty on my part was checked at the door.
Little Man is loving Kindergarten and loves being a big brother. Well, he loves it enough that he doesn't complain about it. At this stage, having a 7 week old baby in the house doesn't really affect him a whole lot. He is just old enough to be able to help me get things (diapers, blankets, etc) but not quiet old enough to hold her on his own or pick her up. And he doesn't seem really interested in doing either. She is just beginning to smile and coo and show some personality...so maybe they will begin to interact with each other more.
And as I am typing, Husband just called to tell me that he just sat through his LAST LECTURE of his LAST BLOCK. He will finish this last week of blocks for his second year and will be starting RO-TA-TIONS on March 26 (insert hallelujah chorus)! We are so excited to begin the FINAL phase of PA school. We can officially say that he will graduate NEXT YEAR. And in May, we will start our countdown to graduation...11 months...10 months...9 months. Oh, that will be so SWEET!
Other than that, life is good. We are blessed!
