Dear Husband: Your First House-Call

Dear Husband:

Last night you made your first house-call to see our neighbors little girl with a very bad ear-ache.  You grabbed your red-bag of stuff (you know, the one with the stethoscope and otoscope thingys in it) and walked out the door just like Moonlight Graham.  This made me realize a) how much stuff you really know b) that from now on this is probably going to happen more often c) that all the studying you are doing is actually sinking in d) how.freaking.proud.I.am.of.you e) all of the above?  Answer E!  All the way!

And PS, I won't tell anybody about the "I'm so excited, but I'm not going to look like I'm excited" look you had on your face when you got home and said that you knew she had an ear infection because you could SEE IT and that she had stopped crying by the time you left.  Nope. Not gonna tell. That's our little secret!

Love you more than Terrance Man loved baseball!

  1. Very cool! I want one of those scope thingies at our house too. Parker's ENT let me look at his ears when they were infected, before we got tubes put in. It was neat to actually SEE what they were talking about. :)

  2. I love the Field of Dreams references. Absolutely love that movie. I could see him stepping off the porch with his bag, going for that walk, but hurrying back-before Alicia thinks he has a girlfriend. I look forward to the day with I actually know what to look for in ears and such.
