Little Man Graduates! (from Pre-K)

Yesterday Little Man had his big "graduation" ceremony from Pre-K.  They sang lots of songs, in english and spanish and said the Pledge of Allegiance while doing the SIGN LANGUAGE!  WHAT?!?

This was our conversation this morning:

Little Man: "Mom, were you proud of me at my graduation?"

Me: "Yes, baby.  I was so proud of you.  Did you know that Dad will graduate in from Physician Assistant School in 2 years?"

Little Man : "Oh that's right!  What songs are they going to sing?"

I have to say that  I'm not normally the crying type at these sort of things, but this one was hard for me.  I actually am one of those moms who is excited to see him grow up and become more independent.  It makes me feel like we are doing something RIGHT when he learns to do things himself.  I think I'm just sad that he will start a new school next year and won't have the security of the CDA where he has been since he was 2.  But I know kindergarten will be HUGE!

  1. What a great idea!! Maybe we can recite the Hippocratic Oath while signing. And we'll sing "The hip bone's connected to the thigh bone!"
