Yesterday was one of "Those" days!!! I didn't feel well when I woke up, but went to work anyway. During my lunch break, I went to the Red Box to return movies that Husband got a while ago. Now, you have to realize that it was 102 at noon while I was out. The Red Box, even though close to our house, is also in a very hard to get to parking lot, which requires about 163 u-turns and 32 lights, all which I am having to perform in Husbands Avalanche truck (!) which translates to an accident waiting to happen. I finally navigate the boat (read truck) into the parking lot of the Red Box and there at 3 people in LINE!!! So I do what every smart Texan does in this heat, I wait in the truck until there is 1 person in the line. Then I grab my water bottle and the movies and walk to wait for my turn. After what seemed like 4 hours (which was really only 4 minutes) the guy in front of me is FINALLY finished! The sweat is now dripping down my back and my hair almost looks like I just got out of the shower, but I step up to the machine to return the movies. Option, Return, waiting for return to process, and then "This machine is FULL and cannot accept returns at this time. Please contact customer service." WHAT? It's FULL? Contact Customer Service?? What are they going to do? Send a "return technician" to this 7-11 parking lot to take my movies from me and stop the $1 a day charges??? So now I'm frustrated. I drag my melting self back to the boat (read truck) and get in. As I'm looking at the clock and trying to think about where the next closest Red Box is and if I have time to get to it before I need to be back at work. Nope. No time. Going to have to wait until after work. I look back in my rear view mirror and realize there is another woman driving the same boat (read truck) as me. Oh, I wonder if her husband is driving her car too. No big deal, until... this woman pulls into the spot right behind me and basically blocks my way out. Seriously. I had to pull an Austin Powers to maneuver the boat (truck) out of this parking spot. And of course, there were NO OTHER CARS in the entire parking lot except for ours! Why, Sweet Jesus, did this woman have to make my hard day harder? What lesson are you trying to teach me?
Still pondering that question today. So glad we have Friday's off in the summer! I need it!
